John D. O’Malley Jr. founded Eastgate Capital Advisors LLC. His focus is on multi-generational stability and lighting a path to a secure future for Eastgate’s clients.

John brings years of experience in estate planning, institutional asset management, family office services, and tax planning. He has taught Equity Investment, Portfolio Management and Business Law courses at Loyola University’s Quinlan School of Business.  Previously John was Executive Director and General Partner at WestLB Mellon Asset Management (USA) LLC, a $2.5 billion global private equity fund-of-funds. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and admitted to practice in the Federal District Court and U.S. Supreme Court.

John received his JD from Vanderbilt University and his BBA in Finance from Loyola University Chicago.

John is President of the Board of Trustees for the Winnetka Police Pension fund, and Board Chair and President of Sheridan Shore Sailing School. John studied at the Loyola University John Felice Rome Center and is co-founder of its Alumni board.  John enjoys flying antique planes and driving vintage sports cars. He is a 4th generation North Shore resident, husband of 30 years to Felicia and father of three adult children.
